Customer replaced their old Angle Cellar Door in Iowa!

One of our customers ordered a door from us that we shipped out to Iowa.  The customer and Larry took the time to get the measurements just right for us to fabricate the custom cellar door in our King of Prussia plant.  The customer painted the cellar door to match their home, and their contractor installed.  Their old door was hard to open, and could only be accessed from the inside.  With her new custom cellar door from Steelway, we fabricated it so there was 2 doors, which makes opening easier since they are not as heavy, and the customer can access from the inside or the outside.  Great job on the measuring and on the install on their end!  Thank you for sharing your pictures, we appreciate it!

Our cellar entrance options in King of Prussia & surrounding areas include:

Watch our Before & After video featuring many of our replacement cellar door styles!

  • Along-side cellar doors: As you walk down the stairs, is your house to be on the left or the right? These doors can be built either way, "right-legged" or "left-legged."
  • Angle on angle cellar doors: Occasionally, you need an angle door on an angled foundation.
  • Angled cellar doors: Similar to angle on angle cellar doors, these doors can provide a sloped frame with sides for level foundations.
  • B-style cellar doors: The b-style door comes with a raised threshold to accommodate higher grade.
  • Corner cellar doors: Corner doors, or "one-legged" doors, are used on homes where one side of the cellar stairwell is also the side of the house and therefore there is no foundation upon which to mount the cellar door frame.
  • Flat cellar doors: A flat cellar door is used on an existing foundation that is already on an angle. Typically, the existing sloped walls are masonry.
  • Crawl space/well-pit doors: Our crawl space doors feature 100 percent steel construction, fully-welded joints, spring-assisted hinges, multi-coat iron oxide primer, and a weathertight design.

Custom and standard sized steel cellar doors for a safe and convenient entrance in New Castle County, DE

Crawl space door

We install high-quality crawl space entranceways, cellar hatchways, and cellar bulkheads.

A galvanized steel door will outlast a powder-coated steel door any day of the week. That's why we only use the best materials possible for our steel basement doors, to ensure lasting quality and sturdiness for you and your family. Take a look at some of the benefits of our state-of-the-art basement doors and crawl space doors to find out why Steelway is the best way!

Improved security: Steelway doors are designed with security in mind. Our fully welded designs feature interior hinge and lock systems that prevent unwanted intruders from gaining access to your home or business.

Easy one-handed operation: Steelway cellar entrances are designed to include a spring assist when door weight or size interferes with the ease of operation. At Steelway Cellar Doors, we realize that every door is different and not just one type of hinge will do the job.

Unlimited size selection: Since every door is made to the exact measurements of the job site, costly extensions and inappropriate add-ons are a thing of the past.

Long-lasting: Heavy gauge hot rolled steel, fully-welded joints, and multiple iron oxide primer coats are just a few of the exclusive features that will ensure years of durable service when properly maintained.
